STORE POLICY
 
IN-PERSON PICK UP:
In-person pick up is available in Stellenbosch and surrounds(within a 20km radius).
 
SHIPPING POLICIES:
– Shipping throughout South Africa is provided at the buyer’s expense. Geckos will never be shipped during holidays and times of year where shipping delays are expected. Geckos will always be shipped overnight on a Monday or Tuesday to avoid weekend delays. 
– Temperatures must be within a suitable range for the animal to be safely shipped. We’re happy to care for a purchased animal until the weather is acceptable for shipping.
– We are not responsible for any shipping delays. No credit or refunds will be given if carrier would lose a package or damage to package due to carrier error results in DoA.
– Shipping info must be double checked. If a wrong shipping address is provided our LIVE ARRIVAL & 5-DAY HEALTH GUARANTEE is void.
 
PAYMENT PLAN AVAILABILITY: 
Payment plans are available for geckos priced at R1500 or more. By sending the deposit amount, you confirm that you have read and agree to the following terms.
 
PAYMENT PLAN TERMS: 
– Geckos can be put on hold for a 30% non-refundable deposit. If, for whatever reason, you change your mind (or we don’t hear from you within 14 days) the gecko will become available again and your deposit is forfeited.
– The fee for utilizing a payment plan to purchase a gecko, is 5% of the price of the gecko. Payment plans are available for a period up to 60 days.
– We cannot just assume that the entire remainder will be paid on the last day. Therefore, if a payment plan is agreed to, 50% of the remaining balance has to be paid by the 30 day mark.
– It is up to the buyer to remember the dates that payments are due. Reminders will not be sent. If payments are not received by agreed upon dates, the sale will be cancelled.
– Should there be any reason that payment cannot be made on time, it must be communicated. Please let us know so we can come to an agreement that works for both the buyer and seller.
–  We do not provide refunds on payment plans unless an issue arises with the gecko itself. Be certain before agreeing to purchase a gecko. This is to protect us from buyers backing out halfway through purchases and expecting a refund.
– Geckos will not be shipped until payment plans are payed in full.
 
REFUNDS:
Refunds are on a case-by-case basis and are at the discretion of the seller. 
 
GENDER:
We don’t guarantee the gender of the gecko unless they are at least 25 grams. All babies and juveniles are pore sexed to the best of our ability.
 
GECKO TAILS:
Tail drops are a natural occurrence that is beyond our control and tail drops do not affect the geckos health or ability to breed. As such, no refunds are provided if the buyer backs out of a sale due to a dropped tail or if the gecko drops its tail during shipping.
 
LIVE ARRIVAL & 5-DAY HEALTH GUARANTEE:
– In order to qualify for the live arrival guarantee, you must notify us that you have received your gecko within 1 hour of it being delivered or the live arrival guarantee is void.
– Valid for Overnight shipping only, unless a reputable pet courier is used. We cannot guarantee that all pet couriers necessarily have the experience to properly take care of a gecko, for the 3-5 day trip to you.
– In the rare case that the gecko arrives deceased, photo or video proof is needed within 2 hours of delivery. Refunds are not provided as shipping is a risk taken by both the seller and buyer.
– Geckos are guaranteed to be healthy upon leaving us and for 5 days upon arrival. If the gecko is experiencing health issues within those 5 days, you must contact us immediately so we can work with you to remedy the problem. Note that the gecko not eating during this 5-day period does not count as “ill-health”. New environments can be stressful and this is completely normal for some geckos.
– If we determine your claim to be justifiable (dead on arrival or ill within 5-days) we are happy to provide you with a replacement gecko of equal value. Since we may not always have another gecko of your choice available immediately, we provide you with a 120-day window to choose a new gecko. Shipping costs for the replacement gecko are entirely up to the buyer.
