OG GH + Remineralise 125g

Shrimp need calcium and magnesium and other minerals in the water in order to molt properly. GH+ Remineralise is made for Cardina shrimp such as Tiger shrimps, Bee Shrimp and other soft water species.  It contains minerals that encourage growth, health and higher survival rates.  Improves shrimp health, coloration and water quality.

Usage: Mix with water outside of the aquarium.  Mix until dissolved and will be ready to use soon after.  Tip, dissolve amount of powder needed in hot water first, then mix into RO water, to dissolve faster.  Recommended to mix with RO water.  Please make sure that any undissolved particles go into the tank too.

Dosage: Use a TDS pen or Hardness Test when preparing the water to your ratio required or test kit for desired GH.  Approximately 2.15g per 10 litres of RO water to get a TDS of 130 and GH 0f 5-6, (KH/GH: 0.05/1).

GH & KH Adjusters are primarily needed when you use Reverse Osmosis (RO) water but is also useful when your water is low in minerals.  You can’t use 100% RO water in your tanks without remineralising it. Shrimp thrive when their water parameters are consistent. Municipalities often vary the source of the water they use during the year which can drastically change the water parameters of your tap water over a short period of time. Additionally tap water contains a lot of impurities which also change based on the source water. So it is not uncommon to hear people doing a water changes and suddenly losing most or all of their shrimp due to some unknown change in their tap water.

Many shrimp breeders are using reverse osmosis (RO) water as a starting point for their tanks. Soft water species of shrimp like Crystal Reds or Tigers should always use RO water.  Some breeders have started using RO water for their hard water species (Neocaridinas like Cherry Shrimp) so they can better control what is in the water. The process of reverse osmosis removes nearly all contaminates in your water, leaving you with almost pure H2O. While tap water is certainly more convenient, using RO water with a re-mineraliser allows consistent control of water quality that shouldn’t vary over time. Providing consistent water parameters is critical to successful breeding.
