A marsh plant found in West Africa, Ammania gracilis is a moderatley demanding plant that prefers highly light levels and of course, presurised CO2. Like most aquarium plants it needs softer acidic water.
It’s quite colourful when given the right conditions and needs regular pruning – replant any cuttings for the best effect.
Position it in the mid-background for the best effect and it’s a plant that is popular with Dutch style aquariums.
