Anubias nana petite Tissue Culture –  Tissue culture plants are grown in vitro from a state of the art laboratory specialized in propagating aquatic plants.  They provide the best option for those who want to ensure that absolutely zero unwanted pests are introduced into the aquarium.

Remove tissue culture gel before planting. Simply remove the tissue and wash the gel (if present) away or soak the plant in water and squeeze the gel off with your fingers.

Anubias nana petite (Anubias barteri var. nana petite) is a smaller variant of the Anubias nana and only grows to around 5cm.  This is a very hardy plant that can survive most mistakes that beginners might make.  Anubias nana petite is a short plant with broad leaves used to cover the lower levels of your tank.  It’s slow growing so you don’t need to put much effort into maintaining it, just a trim now and then. It’s easy to propagate too so you can start with a small amount and gradually grow it throughout your tank.

It can grow both partially or fully submerged, making it popular for a range of aquariums and paludariums.  White roots anchor the stems in place. They work their way through the substrate as the plant grows, staying buried once planted.  Don’t fully bury the roots, leave them partially exposed so they don’t rot.

Occasionally this plant blooms with a creamy white flower. They can flower in both submerged and partially submerged setups. The flowers typically last for up to two or three months once they’ve bloomed.
