UVB 2.0 is an ideal spectrum for all reptiles & amphibians that stimulates plant growth and has high visual light output.  In reptiles it stimulates appetite, activity and reproductive behaviour through UVA radiation

Low UVB (2.0) bulbs are appropriate for snakes, frogs, toads, salamanders, and nocturnal animals.
Moderate UVB (5.0) bulbs are required for shady/sub-tropical species.
High UVB (10.0) bulbs are indicated for sun-loving/tropical and desert species or for situations where the bulb will be between 30 – 50 cm from the animal.

Please note: Reptile light tubes will lose their intensity and undergo a spectrum shift away from the useful UV light gradually over time. It is recommended that you replace your light tube every 12 months to satisfy your reptiles lighting requirements.
